All of us heard about the mudslide that hit Hiroshima’s Asakita Ward on 20th August 2014 which caused a mass destruction to the area with a death toll climbed to 74.
Being residents of this peaceful prefecture and living with its warmhearted people, we had to go beyond showing sympathy and give a helping hand in the clean-up operation.
HICC formed a team from our brothers and sisters who voluntarily accepted to join. The team joined the cleanup operations on 13th and 14th of September with a total number of volunteers in both days was about 27. The work was mainly to clean the mud, stones and debris out of the affected area. It started from 8:30 until 17:00.
Thanks to Allah, we were happy being able to give a little of help to Japanese people.
