Opening Ceremony

Hiroshima is the city of peace and Islam is the religion of peace. For the purpose of building a peaceful society and spreading the message of tranquil to the human beings all over the world, the Islamic Cultural Center in Higashi-Hiroshima City was established.

It was a memorable journey for all Muslims in Japan, especially in Hiroshima, full with struggles till they got their prize; the first Masjid and Islamic center in Hiroshima. The center was opened officially in April 2012 by receiving a visit from the Saudi Arabia ambassador, Higashihiroshima city mayor, and other prestigious guests along with our fellow Muslims.

Then, the opening ceremony was held on 4th May 2012 by arranging a special program as follows:

12:06 Jumua paryer (khatib: Shaikh Ahmed Maeno)

12:30 Qur'an Recitation

         Opening Speech

         Speech by the vice-president of Hiroshima University.

         Speech by delegates.

         Speech by HICC President.

         Close by Du’a.

         Open Lunch

On the same day, a lecture was given by Shaikh Ahmed Maeno after Maghreb prayer. On the next day, 5th May, there was an open day.
